Finding Faith in the Frustration

Nov 1, 2026  •  Anthony Achée

How can we continue trusting God when His actions do not make sense to us?

In this sermon from Habakkuk 1, Pastor Anthony Achée examines Habakkuk’s struggle with the violence and injustice surrounding him. When God’s response is different from what the prophet expected, Habakkuk continues bringing his questions to the Lord while holding firmly to what he knows about God’s character.

This message focuses on three truths:

Habakkuk’s Honest Cry (vv. 1–4)

God’s Surprising Plan (vv. 5–11)

Faith Amidst Paradox (vv. 12–17)

Faith does not require us to hide our questions or pretend we understand everything God is doing. We can bring our confusion and frustration honestly before Him, trust that He is working even when we cannot see it, and remain anchored in the truth that He is sovereign, holy, and faithful.

Big Idea: Faith brings our questions and frustrations to God while continuing to trust His sovereignty and faithfulness.
