CHURCH PLANTING

We are committed to church planting as a central and critical tool for helping us live out our mission as a church. Our partnership with Acts 29 is at the foundation of how we are working to be a church dedicated to planting and replanting new churches both locally in New Orleans and globally all over the world.

WHAT IS ACTS 29?

Berean Bible Church is part of Acts 29 - a diverse, global family of church-planting churches. Acts 29 helps us encourage, resource, facilitate, support, and equip churches to plant churches.

Regionally, we are part of Acts 29 Southeast - an area that stretches from Louisiana to the Atlantic. Through this strategic partnership, we work to identify and train new church planters as well as partner with other church-planting churches in New Orleans, the Southeast, and around the world.

WHY PLANT MORE CHURCHES?

We need more healthy, gospel-centered churches
planted and replanted.

Once known as the "Bible Belt," the Southeast is now more aptly described as "Christ haunted" as the number of those who are unchurched or dechurched continues to rise.

Once known primarily as rural, over 92% of the metropolitan areas of the Southeast are growing, including three of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Some projections suggest that by 2050, over 81.7 million people who do not know Jesus will live in the Southeast U.S. With this cultural shift comes tremendous opportunity for mission to both the unchurched and the dechurched.

To reach this Christ-haunted, culturally shifting region, we need more healthy, gospel-centered churches planted and replanted. We need churches that both know and demonstrate the gospel in and to their communities. In fact, 1400 churches will need to be planted per year for the next 40 years to reach the increasing population. Acts 29 wants to play an integral part in the movement of God's Spirit to see this happen by recruiting, assessing, and developing church planters and pastors.
